Barbara & Chris
August 19, 2010 Weddings
| There are certain people who come into your life that warm your heart and you just know that they are good, beautiful souls. Barbara and Chris are two of those people. The love these two have for one another, coupled with the genuine care of all of their guests, made this wedding such a wonderful experience. Nestled in the woods at Chris's family's cabin on Lake Ida in Alexandria, MN, the couple wed just as the sun made its way through the rain clouds. It was just perfect and yet another wedding I was so thankful to be a part of.
Thank you Barbara & Chris for including us in your celebration. It was such a joy capturing your day! One of my favorite dress shots of all time :) |

12 weeks

| I feel so repetitive these days - always talking about how time moves too quickly and how extraordinarily fast Alex is growing and changing. When he was about 2 weeks old I started panicking - wanting to stop the clock, holding him tightly to my chest trying to savor every second in my sleep-deprived haze....and disliking the fact that I was so tired I was having a hard time remembering everything and deciphering what days things happened on. Then, one day in June he smiled. My panicking immediately turned into excitement - excitement about what is to come! Now here we are at 12 weeks old and my sweet baby boy can steadily hold his head up when I lay him on his stomach. I'm not going to lie, it brings tears to my eyes when I watch him do this and see how strong he has gotten. I'm totally going to be a basket case watching him from the school bleachers one day. :)

Eloise

| Two-week old Eloise was a perfect little subject to photograph! :) Surprisingly she stayed awake for almost the entire shoot, which is extremely rare at such a young age! I think she liked the clicking sound of my camera. :) I was thrilled when her parents contacted me about her arrival, as I photographed their wedding in 2007! It's such a privilege documenting the key milestones in people's lives. I'm one lucky gal. :)
