Lori & Eric

August 29, 2008 Engagements

Just the other day I had the opportunity to photograph two beautiful people whose wedding I'm shooting in 2009! Eric and Lori were amazing to capture and the photo shoot went perfectly with the rain clouds staying just far enough away until we were finished. :) I'm extremely excited for this wedding and already looking forward to 2009!

Samantha & Eric

August 26, 2008 Weddings

Wow - one amazing wedding after another! I am just LOVING summer!! This weekend Samantha & Eric's day was flawless. The unpredictable MN weather couldn't have been more perfect and every detail went off without a hitch!
Samantha and Eric - Thank you from the bottom of my heart! It was an incredible honor to photograph your wedding day...every moment was picture-perfect. I hope you are enjoying soaking in the Maui sun right now!
I will let the photos do the talking...:) |

I love the colors Samantha chose! The blue was amazing to photograph and the flowers from Serendipity were just gorgeous!

This is the beautiful couple with the "greeters" Jack and Max. Can you even believe how cute they are!? I was just dying when I saw them in their little tuxes!! :)

I love having the opportunity to ride along with the couple to the reception. It allows for some really fun shots.

Edinburgh USA was decorated BEAUTIFULLY!! I thoroughly enjoyed shooting there again!

Buttercream never disappoints! Their cakes are some of the best in the Twin Cities!

Samantha & Eric are perfect for each other...

Cameron

August 21, 2008 Portraits

My little buddy Cameron is 2 years old already and just a hoot to photograph! :) This was the 4th time I've taken Cameron's photos and each time he moves a little bit quicker than the last! We have so much fun together and, like many kids I photograph, if I just allow him to run the shoot we get some great results. :) Cameron will be a big brother in December and I'm already looking forward to photographing his little brother or sister!
|

Cameron loves to climb! I think we visited about 100 benches in the park and he climbed on every one of them! (ok, I might be exaggerating a little bit) :)

He has the bluest eyes just like many of his family members :)

The perfect night

August 19, 2008 Personal

On Saturday Eric and I spent the evening gazing at the stars and listening to loons calling to each other from across the glass-like lake. The full moon was so bright that there was no need for flashlights and the stillness was surreal. Have you ever been somewhere that's so quiet it almost hurts your ears?? I feel very fortunate to be able to go to a place every once in awhile that is so relaxing and "mind-clearing" just 2-1/2 hours from our home.
One of my favorite things to do is experiment with night photography, so I couldn't resist photographing the most-perfect evening.
This photo was captured with a 25 second exposure. |

Did a ghost visit Eric on the dock!? :)

Tonray & Bob

August 15, 2008 Weddings

As I've mentioned in a few posts already, the past couple of weeks have been split between Minneapolis and Chicago and although it has been a very busy time, every second of it has been inspiring, beautiful and gosh, close to perfect! The wedding featured here is of Tonray and Bob's big day and I don't even know where to begin! We first met in person just a week prior to the wedding and in that short week's time we became old friends. :)
Bob and Tonray honestly made my job easy. Not only are they incredibly photogenic, but the locations they chose in Chicago were a photographer's dream. It was amazing to have a full 2 hours prior to the ceremony to visit 5 locations in the city. Capturing the moments between them had me smiling the entire day and I am just so happy they found each other...(and me!):)
The ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Marriott on the Magnificent Mile and it was an awesome location right in the heart of Chicago.
To Tonray, Bob and all of the guests who shared in their magical day - Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Your welcoming gestures and beautiful smiles made me love my job even more than I already do...and I didn't think that was possible. (Oh yes, and have a fantastic time in Italy!! I'm not jealous at all... :))
Through their photos, I hope you can feel the love they share that will last a lifetime.
Tonray's red shoes were, well, perfect. :) |

One of my many favorites from the day at Union Station in downtown Chicago

The streets were packed with shoppers and baseball fans! It was a blast walking around the city!

One of Bob's favorite locations in Chicago - the Wrigley Building

Tonray's adorable nephew and niece

The details were so beautiful with Chinese and Jewish themes

Bob during the ever-so-fun Hora! I just love that dance! :)
