Chase

October 30, 2009 Portraits

I had the AMAZING honor to photograph little Chase when he was just under 24 hours old and WOW, what a memorable experience it was! Chase is my dear friend Jill's first baby and it's been so much fun to watch her through this journey. Jill & Matt - we couldn't be happier for you!! (my cheeks are officially sore from smiling so much) :)
Isn't he just perfect?? |

Isabelle & Cameron

October 30, 2009 Portraits

I have loved watching this little family grow and always look forward to photographing them! Isabelle & Cameron's mom is a family friend so that makes the shoot extra special. :) I'm always so amazed at how much the kids have grown from the last time I photographed them!
Thank you Allison, Greg, Cameron & Isabelle! I just loved photographing you again this year! :) |

Ryan & Andy

October 28, 2009 Portraits

These two little boys have me smiling every time I see them! I have known them for pretty much their entire lives...in fact I remember visiting 7-year-old Ryan in the hospital when he was born! Their mom has been a family friend for years and I was thrilled when she asked me to take the boys' photos. Thanks Wendy! :)
Without further delay, here are the two little rascals! :) |

30

October 21, 2009 Personal

First of all, I had no idea that turning 30 could be so much fun!! My husband went above and beyond, making it a birthday I will never forget. He took me on a surprise trip waaaay up north to the Gunflint Trail where we stayed at the beautiful Gunflint Lodge. It is a place we will definitely be visiting again.
Every morning Eric had me open an envelope that had a picture of what that day's adventure would be. It was so exciting I could barely sleep! :) On my actual birthday we canoed into the Boundary Waters to explore the pristine waters and camp for a night. (We were going to camp two nights but it got REALLY cold and a snowstorm was brewing so we thought it would be best to get back to the lodge.)
Other adventures included moose calling and fishing with a guide, horseback riding, hiking, and driving up and down the Gunflint Trail at sunrise looking for moose. Thankfully, we got lucky and were able to watch a cow and her calf for about an hour one morning. It was amazing!
I think this fox wanted us to take him home with us :) |

| Eric was a pro when it came to portaging! :) |

| Our home away from home :) |

| The smallmouth bass were so much fun to catch |

| The moose!! This cow and her calf didn't seem bothered by us at all. We watched them for about an hour one morning. |

| I named her Lucy the Moosey :) |

Emily & Eric

October 18, 2009 Engagements

| Emily and Eric were way too much fun to photograph. :) They are crazy about each other and so of course that made my job pretty easy! We had so many laughs and it was a perfect evening for such a special photo shoot. |
