Welcome and thank you for stopping by! My name is Erika and I'm a photographer who is living her dream! As you will see through my photographs, I am constantly focused on capturing real, natural moments and creating timeless images that make you feel something - have it be tears, joy, laughter or even if it simply brings a smile to your face. My ultimate goal is to create images that speak to your soul.

Bonnie & Matt

When I think about Bonnie and Matt I can't help but smile and hear their laughter and feel their infectious energy and joy. It could not be more obvious that when they enter a room, it lights up and no one can help but to simply be happy in their presence. I feel so lucky that they invited me into their love story.

Photographing Bonnie & Matt is something truly special...something I will never forget. Their personalities are incredibly charming and their love for one another is inspiring and so beautiful.

Thank you Bonnie & Matt from the bottom of my heart! Photographing your wedding day was such an honor. I loved every moment and hope you enjoy a little sneak peek below. :) I can't wait to show you the rest! In the meantime, should we start planning our next photo shoot 6 months from now?? :)

Happy Birthday Greta

My dear Greta,

You turned 1 over a month ago now and I finally found a moment to sit down to post some photos and write to you! I'm sorry honey but thank you for being so understanding. :) I know you will be OK with this tardiness...it's part of who you are - forgiving and patient. This past year has been a rollercoaster as our little family endured some of the biggest changes and challenges we have ever faced. From the moment you came into our lives though, you have been our constant sunshine and you have brought us so much peace. It's pretty crazy how life can completely catch you off-guard and then you look at your kids and they help bring you back to solid ground...and they make you smile. Every single day I am smiling because of you sweet Greta.

You are walking all over the place now and trying desperately to keep up with your brother. It brings me so much joy to see the two of you play and laugh together. Now, don't get me wrong, it isn't always peachy between the two of you, but let me tell ya, I hold on dearly to those happy moments. :) You love your mommy but I think you are becoming a daddy's girl, as the moment he walks in the door you squeal and get over to him as fast as you can. Witnessing that is one of my favorite moments of the day. :)

How a full year since your birth has already gone by, I will never know. I do hope that this year is a bit more calm...though I have a feeling that might be just wishful thinking. :) I love you more than you will ever know sweet daughter of mine.

November 23, 2012 Weddings

A couple of weeks ago I hopped on a plane and flew to Illinois to photograph the marriage of two people who are madly in love with one another. It was beautiful, emotional and so incredibly full of love. It was a day that I know will never be forgotten by those who witnessed it. Kelly & CJ are a perfect match and loved so dearly by their friends & families. What an honor to be the one to document their most-special day!

It is always so much fun photographing referrals from past weddings I've shot. Thank you Bill & Elise for passing my name along to Kelly and her sister Bonnie!! :)
